Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of accounting experience with exposure to project-based environments.
• Prior experience leading or mentoring accounting professionals.
• Knowledge of project accounting, contract billing, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
• Experience within engineering, consulting, architecture, construction, or other professional services industries preferred.
• Experience utilizing ERP and accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team responsible for project accounting and financial operations
• Partner with project and business leaders to monitor project performance and profitability
• Oversee project billing, revenue recognition, WIP reporting, and related financial activities
• Support month-end close and ensure accurate project financial reporting
• Analyze project metrics and provide actionable insights to leadership
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and increase efficiency
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and client-facing teams to resolve financial matters
• Assist with audits, compliance initiatives, and special projects
• Support system enhancements and continuous improvement efforts
