Job summary
Our client, a rapidly growing project-based services organization, seeks a Project Accountant to support the financial performance of a high-volume regional unit. You will partner with operations leadership to analyze project profitability and forecasting.
Responsibilities include monitoring budgets and WIP, assisting with monthly forecasts, reviewing project performance for risks and opportunities, and supporting revenue recognition and cost tracking.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in project/accounting or related disciplines.
- Experience in project-based or contract-driven environments.
Responsibilities
- Monitor project budgets, costs and profitability.
- Maintain and analyze Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting.
- Assist with monthly forecasting and budgeting activities.
- Review project financial performance for overruns, risks and opportunities.
- Support revenue recognition and project cost tracking.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Operations to ensure data accuracy.
- Assist with accounts payable processing and project cost reconciliation.
- Prepare financial reporting and performance analysis for management.
