Job summary

NextEra Energy is seeking a Strategic Programs Lead to join its Florida Power & Light Company strategic projects group. You will partner with senior executives to identify and solve key business challenges, guiding internal consulting efforts from data gathering to implementation.

The role emphasizes leadership of major work streams, collaboration with executives, and mentoring junior team members. Projects typically span 2–6 months and involve renewable energy and corporate functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 6+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, or project leadership.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across business units.
• Strong data analysis and modeling capabilities.
• Proficient in creating presentations for executives.
• MBA and PMP are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads cross-functional projects including data collection, analysis and implementation of recommendations to senior management.
• Creates and communicates formal presentation of proposal to business leaders at higher levels of management, including executive.
• Develops hypothesis and validates them with data and SME input, then validates with business units.
• Compiles and analyzes analytical problems and presents findings to executive management.
• Develops strategies to address opportunities identified through analysis.
• Conducts research across industries to apply innovations to key problems.
• Interacts with senior and executive leadership, building trust and credibility.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
