Job summary

The Jewish Federation Los Angeles is recruiting for an Assistant Director, Caring for Jews in Need. This role reports to the Senior Director and oversees program development, collaboration with CJIN partners, and the implementation of safety-net services for vulnerable communities.

Responsibilities include guiding CJIN initiatives, evaluating program impact, coordinating with social service partners locally and overseas, and reporting outcomes to donors and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Public Administration, Social Work, or related area required or preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a community organization preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with strategic direction to CJIN Initiative and partnership processes.
  • Coordinate with Federation social service partners and stakeholders to identify innovative care approaches.
  • Lead program impact evaluation efforts and staff CJIN evaluators.
  • Collaborate with partners focusing on crisis populations: older adults, Holocaust survivors, and others.
  • Staff subcommittees, working groups, and CJIN partnerships locally and overseas.
  • Convene partners and stakeholders to advance CJIN’s mission.
  • Identify trends and conduct research on social service needs.
  • Report to donors and share updates with the community.
