Job summary

The Jewish Federations of North America is seeking an Assistant Director, Caring for Jews in Need, to develop and oversee CJIN programs and convene partners for trainings and collaborations. The role reports to the Senior Director and focuses on enhancing the social service safety net for vulnerable Jews in Los Angeles, Israel, and overseas.

• Degree in Public Administration, Social Work, or related field preferred.
• Experience in community organizations or social service settings.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with strategic direction of CJIN initiatives and partnerships.
• Coordinate CJIN committee activities and partnership processes.
• Lead program impact and evaluation efforts for CJIN investments.
• Collaborate with social service partners locally and overseas.
• Staff CJIN subcommittees, working groups and task forces.
• Convene and engage organizational partners and stakeholders.
• Identify trends and research social service needs.
• Report program updates to donors and the community.
