Job summary

Early-Stage Defense Tech Software is seeking a strategic leader to turn early wins into durable programs. Based in Washington, DC or Northern Virginia, you will own transitions from Phase II to Phase III, build sponsor and funding cases, and drive program offices to a signed vehicle.

You will map capabilities to programs of record, nurture relationships with PEOs and requirements owners, and expand existing accounts while pursuing new partnerships with primes and FFRDCs.

Qualifications

• Experience moving SBIR/prototype to funded program of record.
• Deep knowledge of PPBE and POM cycle.
• Relationships with program offices, PEOs, or acquisition leadership.
• Defense tech background with multi-service exposure.
• Strong writing skills for white papers, transition plans, and proposals.
• Based in DC or Northern Virginia, in person, willing to travel up to 25%.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own Phase II to Phase III transitions and pilot-to-program conversions.
• Map capability against programs of record; engage with PEOs, PMs, and requirements owners.
• Develop funding strategy; track budget inputs and reprogramming actions.
• Grow existing accounts; expand scope and option years; pursue enterprise footprint.
• Build relationships with primes, integrators, FFRDCs, and UARCs for faster teaming.
