Job description

About SimpliSafe

We're a high-tech home security company that's passionate about protecting the life you've built and our mission of keeping Every Home Secure. And we've created a culture here that cares just as deeply about the career you're building. Ours is a no ego culture of collaboration and innovation where those seeking their next challenge can find big opportunities and make a huge impact on the lives of all those who we protect. We don't just want you to work here. We want you to grow and thrive here.

We're embracing a hybrid work model that enables our teams to split their time between office and home. Hybrid for us means we expect our teams to come together in our state‑of‑the‑art office on two core days, typically Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday – working together in person and choosing where they work for the remainder of the week. We all benefit from flexibility and get to use the best of both worlds to get our work done.

Why are we hiring?

Well, we're growing and thriving. So, we need smart, talented, and humble people who share our values to join us as we disrupt the home security space and relentlessly pursue our mission of keeping Every Home Secure.

A high-impact, collaborative opportunity

This position sits at the center of the company's most critical priorities, partnering closely with the CEO and Chief of Staff to move high-impact work forward. The role blends strategic thinking with hands‑on execution – taking loosely defined problems, shaping them into clear plans, and driving progress across the organization.

The person in this role will help run key planning and operating rhythms, dig into complex questions using data and structured analysis, and coordinate closely with leaders across Finance, Go‑To‑Market, Operations, and Technology. Strong communication and judgment are essential, as the role regularly produces materials that support senior leadership decisions. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in fast‑moving environments, enjoys ownership, and is excited to use modern tools, including AI, to work smarter and deliver meaningful results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support high-priority strategic and operational initiatives sponsored by the CEO and Chief of Staff, owning workstreams from problem definition through execution.
  • Play a key role in corporate planning and operating processes, including annual planning, quarterly business reviews, and KPI tracking.
  • Analyze complex business problems by combining data analysis, stakeholder input, and structured thinking to develop practical recommendations.
  • Translate strategic direction into executable plans, including timelines, deliverables, metrics, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Drive cross‑functional projects by working directly with partners across Finance, Operations, Product, Technology, and other teams.
  • Develop clear, concise executive materials (presentations, briefs, analyses) to support decision‑making by senior leaders.
  • Monitor progress against plans, identify risks or gaps, and proactively recommend course corrections.
  • Step into ambiguous or urgent areas as needed to ensure critical work moves forward.
Data, Analysis & AI Expectations
  • Perform hands‑on analysis using spreadsheets, dashboards, and internal tools to support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Leverage AI tools to improve speed, quality, and efficiency of analysis, research, and execution.
  • Continuously explore practical applications of AI to enhance planning, reporting, and operational workflows.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 4–7 years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, corporate strategy, investment, or a similarly analytical and execution‑oriented role.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently structure problems, manage workstreams, and deliver outcomes in ambiguous environments.
  • Strong analytical skills with comfort working directly in data; able to synthesize insights and clearly communicate implications.
  • Experience working cross‑functionally and influencing without formal authority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce executive‑ready outputs.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a bias toward action and accountability.
  • Hands‑on experience using general‑purpose LLMs and intelligent automation tools to improve efficiency, decision‑making, and/or execution in business contexts.
  • Prior experience supporting senior leaders or working on enterprise‑level initiatives is a plus.
  • Boston‑based or willing to be based in Boston.
What Values You'll Share

  • One Team - Taking a highly collaborative approach to achieving success.
  • Lift As We Climb - Investing in developing others and helping others around us succeed.
  • Lean & Nimble - Working with agility and efficiency to experiment in an often ambiguous environment.
