Job summary

Supermicro in San Jose, California seeks a dynamic Program Manager to lead engineering programs, including scheduling, cost analysis, early access, and first customer shipment. You will oversee cross-functional teams from Sales, Production, and Purchasing and must possess exceptional project management and communication skills.

In-office attendance is required; the role involves coordinating with multiple departments to meet forecasts and deliver high-quality products for on-site operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Administration is required.
• 5+ years of experience in the computer/server industry or related field.
• Experience in contract manufacturing, product development, project management, quality control, and/or procurement support.
• Strong cross-functional coordination with Engineering, Sales, Operations, Purchasing, and Logistics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; advanced Excel and PowerPoint; ERP systems knowledge (SAP) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interface with key OEM customers to provide turnkey manufacturing services.
• Drive day-to-day production planning, material readiness, shortages, order fulfillment, and quality control.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams from Sales, Production, Product Management, and Purchasing to deliver products and solutions.
• Assist with NPI, FAI, and ECO scheduling and material planning to ensure time-to-market.
• Analyze forecast demands and maintain material schedules to avoid shortages and ensure fast fulfillments.
• Plan for end-of-life disposition and post-sale service requirements to avoid obsolescence.
• Identify business model improvements across supply chain and product lifecycle.
