Job summary

BlackSky is seeking a Program Finance Manager to lead a new program finance function. You will develop budgets, forecast program EACs, and provide robust financial oversight for a portfolio of customer-facing and internal programs, reporting to the VP, FP&A.

The role requires 8+ years in financial management, strong Excel modeling, and experience with data tools (SQL/Tableau/Power BI). US security clearance eligibility is required; PMP is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business management, or related field.
• 8+ years of financial management or program finance experience in professional services/government contracting.
• Strong business acumen and communication skills; ability to build rapport with colleagues and external partners.
• Proficiency with Excel modeling; familiarity with Cognos, SQL, Tableau, Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of initial program budgets and forecast EACs for portfolio of programs.
• Support annual planning with staffing and risk analyses.
• Perform monthly/quarterly budget-forecast-actual variance analyses.
• Monitor revenue recognition and client billing; optimize fund utilization.
• Build and maintain financial models to evaluate profitability and capital expenditures.
