Job summary

University of Georgia seeks a Program Director for the Master’s Program in Couple and Family Therapy, at a Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor rank, non-tenure track. The position emphasizes strategic program oversight, collaboration with partners, and mentoring graduate students, beginning November 1, 2026.

Qualifications

• Must hold a graduate degree (MS or PhD) in couple/marriage and family therapy and a doctorate in HDFS or closely related field.
• Currently licensed as a marriage and family therapist (LMFT) in Georgia.
• AAMFT-approved supervisor status.
• At least 5 years of post‑doctoral relational/system practice.
• At least 5 years of university-level teaching with mentoring and supervision of graduate students.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and administrative oversight for the CFT Program.
• Ensure COAMFTE accreditation standards and reporting requirements are met.
• Lead curriculum planning and development with CFT faculty for quality and accreditation compliance.
• Oversee clinical training, supervision, and student achievements.
• Coordinate program operations, scheduling, and faculty engagement.
• Develop partnerships with clinical sites and professional organizations to support practicum and internships.
• Mentor graduate students and contribute to teaching, scholarship, and service within the department.
