Job summary

RS&H in Maitland, FL seeks a Program Communications Manager to lead communications for the District 5 Corridors Program Office. This embedded role reports to the office five days a week and drives marketing and communications initiatives across public, media, and staff audiences.

Responsibilities include developing targeted messaging, serving as a spokesperson, coordinating events, and guiding a communications team to achieve timely, impactful results.

Qualifications

• B.S. or B.A in Communications, Public Relations, English, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in communications or public affairs.
• Experience leading and managing a team of communications professionals.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful communications efforts.
• APR credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a communications strategy to promote DCPO goals and accomplishments.
• Manage internal and external communications with a wide variety of stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to align communication strategies with program objectives.
• Oversee coordination of special events including public meetings and project tours.
• Direct the DCPO Communications team to meet goals in a timely manner.
• Monitor effectiveness of DCPO communications and adjust as necessary.
• Respond flexibly to emerging issues while maintaining professionalism.
• Perform other duties as required by program leadership.
