Job summary

Columbia Tech in Westborough, MA is seeking a Senior Program Buyer to act as the single point of contact for sourcing, price negotiations, procurement and availability within assigned programs for a project-based product development group. This role develops, maintains and enhances the supply chain to provide a competitive advantage for Columbia Tech product development group.

Qualifications

BS/BA degree or equivalent experience in technical or business field.
Strong negotiation, analytical and problem solving skills.
Knowledge of ERP systems, especially Epicor, and blueprint reading.
Proficiency with MS Office and related tools.

Responsibilities

Price and terms negotiation with suppliers and placing Purchase Orders.
Managing delivery schedules aligned with PO requirements.
Ensure supplier delivery of quality material and drive improvements.
Develop sourcing strategy with Program Management and other Supply Chain resources.
Review ERP-driven buy signals and take appropriate actions (buy, defer, expedite, cancel).
Generate Procurement Status Reports and update Program Management weekly.
Mitigate risk and escalate supplier performance issues; drive issue resolution.
Coordinate with pre-production planners to ensure material availability.
