Job summary

Archdiocese of San Antonio Careers is seeking a Program Accountant to manage financial activities for assigned programs, ensuring compliance with federal and local regulations. The role collaborates with the Director of Finance to prepare timely, accurate financial reports and oversee budgets from origination through closeout.

Responsibilities include budget development for programs and grants, monthly monitoring, and participation in audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• 3 years’ accounting experience, nonprofit or multi-entity/project accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts financial analysis and forecasting of revenues and expenditures.
• Analyzes past and present financial operations, trends, and costs and estimates future revenues and expenditures for budgets.
• Develops program and grant budgets and performs budget revisions as needed.
• Records funds received to programs/grants and monitors monthly budgets.
• Works with Program Directors to ensure timely, accurate financial information.
