Job summary

Technic - Equipment Division in Pawtucket, RI is seeking a Production Control Specialist to schedule and track the build of our custom plating and surface finishing equipment. The role ensures materials, labor, and shop priorities align so each machine ships on time.

Responsibilities include building production schedules, releasing jobs in ERP, planning material needs, tracking status and labor, and coordinating shipping logistics.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years in production planning, scheduling, or materials management, ideally in an engineered-to-order or job shop environment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and bills of materials.
• Highly organized with strong communication skills.
• Comfortable working with engineering, purchasing, and shop teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain production schedules for fabrication, assembly, and testing across multiple concurrent projects.
• Release jobs to the shop and maintain job, bill of materials, and routing data in the ERP system.
• Plan material needs and coordinate with purchasing to expedite critical parts.
• Track job status, labor hours, and shortages, and report progress to project managers and leadership.
• Identify schedule conflicts early and work with supervisors to rebalance resources.
• Coordinate shipping, freight, and rigging logistics for completed equipment.
• Maintain shop travelers, drawing packages, and inventory records.
