Job summary

Crown Holdings, Inc. in Bradley, IL, is seeking a Production Planning Manager to coordinate all production planning activities for the plant, including inventory, warehousing and distribution for finished products.

You will develop master schedule requirements from demand forecasts and capacity, collaborate with production and sales, monitor inventories and drive continuous improvement. Expect ~10% travel and ability to work varying shifts to support operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, operations research, or related area.
• 5+ years of experience in production planning, logistics or materials handling.
• 3+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• Approximately 10% travel.
• Must be available to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing master schedule requirements from demand forecasts, capacity, and history.
• Coordinate with production and sales to update progress and new developments.
• Manage volume and location changes to meet customer needs.
• Monitor raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to minimize costs and reach inventory goals.
• Develop and maintain tools that enhance production planning.
• Audit compliance with department standards and practices.
• Ensure sales and plants use the system via on-site audits and tracking metrics.
• Maintain needs-attention inventory levels and implement improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement through training and strategic planning.
• Perform other duties as required.
