Job summary

Reading Truck is seeking a Production Planner & Scheduler to develop and adjust production plans that ensure on-time delivery and optimal use of labor, materials, and capacity. The role collaborates with Operations, Sales, Purchasing, Materials, Engineering, Customer Service, and Continuous Improvement to optimize production flow and resolve scheduling constraints.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of production planning experience
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production planning functions required
• Manufacturing industry background preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules to support on-time delivery
• Maintain the accuracy of the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Build Plan
• Perform capacity planning by evaluating backlog, orders, lead times, labor and material availability
• Track production progress and escalate risks to Leadership and Customer Service
• Provide scheduling information to Customer Service and coordinate loads for shipment
