Job summary

Bio-Rad Laboratories is seeking a Production Planner II based in Hercules, CA to expertly manage mid- and long-term production plans using MRP. You will optimize material flow, schedules, and capacity, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time deliveries and efficient utilization of resources.

The role requires 3–5 years in planning and scheduling within LEAN manufacturing, strong SAP experience, and a solid understanding of BOMs and routings.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Product Supply Management or related discipline.
• 3–5 years planning/scheduling in LEAN Manufacturing.
• SAP experience is essential.
• APICS CPIM certification a plus.
• In-depth experience with production planning and detailed scheduling.
• Understanding of bills of materials and labor routings.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Identify and maintain mid/long-term production plans for raw materials, semi-finished, and finished goods using MRP inputs.
• Understand plant capacities and constraints; communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain production schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
• Proactively monitor conflicts and bottlenecks; respond to changes to support deliveries.
• Generate weekly/monthly scheduling metrics and reporting; communicate conclusions and improvements.
• Manage product lifecycle projects to ensure availability and minimize scrap across teams.
