Job summary

Excelitas Technologies Corp. in Boulder, CO is seeking a Senior Production Planner to create and execute the production planning strategy with Production and Customer Service to meet demand within capacity constraints.

You will oversee SAP-based scheduling to sustain on-time delivery, monitor KPIs, and coordinate with Purchasing and Operations to optimize inventory and lead times. This role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement within a high-mix environment.

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. or equivalent. Supply Chain, Operations, or Materials emphasis preferred.
• 7+ years related experience in production/capacity planning preferred.
• APICS certification required.
• MRP experience in a high mix, low volume manufacturing environment a plus.
• Computer proficiency with MS Office applications required.
• Detail-oriented and time sensitive.
• Strong communication skills coupled with the ability to work in a team environment.
• Experience in capacity planning and constraint-based planning preferred.
• Experience with Demand Flow planning desired but not required.
• Knowledge of SAP ERP system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain production schedule using SAP to support customer demand and on-time delivery.
• Monitor KPIs for performance against goals of product line.
• Support cost reduction through effective capacity utilization.
• Establish and communicate sales order delivery schedules.
• Ensure material availability to support production schedule.
• Participate in daily Tier 1 or Tier 2 production meetings.
• Coordinate with Purchasing & Operations to expedite builds.
• Analyze and resolve system exceptions and root causes.
• Implement Engineering Change Orders and manage inventory.
• Process RMAs and update shipping schedules.
• Maintain data integrity of planning attributes for valid planning results.
• Monitor lead times and inventory accuracy; assist with problem resolution.
• Own inventory excess and obsolescence analysis and corrective actions.
• Support EH&S culture and safety in daily work.
