Job summary

Plasma-Therm in Livermore, CA is seeking a production planner to optimize workflow on the shop floor. You will interface daily with shop floor, area leads, management, purchasing and customers to align scheduling with capacity.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in related discipline.
• Seven years of production planning experience.
• Proven knowledge of production planning and capacity planning principles.
• Strong communication abilities and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Interface daily with the shop floor, Area Leads, Management, Purchasing and Customers.
• Schedule and releases (cut Jobs) per the Production Schedule and Capacity plan.
• Work with manufacturing on scheduling based on material status and available capacity.
• Respond to customer requests and forward quotes to Inside Sales.
• Schedule/manage the release of jobs per the Capacity plan.
• Coordinate production workflow and prioritize jobs to maximize performance and minimize delay.
• Enter Sales Orders and monitor progress to meet deadlines.
• Address bottlenecks and update job dates as required.
• Mentor/train junior team members and ensure safety and quality standards.
