Job summary

Indium Corporation in Utica, NY is seeking a Production Planner to analyze customer orders and convert them into manufacturing work orders. You will coordinate with sales, engineering and quality to adjust schedules, inventories, and expediting as needed.

Responsibilities include planning inventories, preparing reports, and using ERP, Outlook, Excel and SharePoint to manage data. Strong math, analysis, and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Associate's degree preferred.
• 1 year of related work experience.
• APICS Planning certification preferred.
• Experience in product configuration and manufacturing process familiarity.
• Proficient at intermediate math.
• Proficient PC, Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret customer order documentation to create manufacturing work orders.
• Provide feedback to sales and supervision on workload and inventories.
• Enter data using Outlook, Excel, SharePoint and ERP systems.
• Suggest production scheduling and inventory changes based on capacity and supplies.
• Plan/monitor/report production inventories and coordinate purchase orders.
• Perform mathematical calculations and unit conversions as required.
• Ensure quality standards and well-documented work.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering and quality departments.
