Job summary

Westlake Royal Building Products seeks a Production Planning & Inventory Control Manager to lead production planning, scheduling, inventory control and Product Data Management for the Columbus and Franklin facilities.

This hands-on leadership role supervises schedulers, inventory staff, cycle-counting personnel, and related teams, working with Operations, Customer Service, Logistics, Accounting, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain to ensure accurate data and service levels.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in production planning/scheduling and inventory management in manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience developing production plans/schedules and adjusting to demand/capacity.
• Inventory experience including cycle counting, physical inventories, reconciliations, root-cause analysis.
• Strong knowledge of production-planning principles, BOMs, routings, item-master data, and manufacturing transactions.
• Proven leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Bachelor's degree is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain executable production plans and schedules balancing demand, inventory, material, capacity, and constraints.
• Adjust plans as conditions change and prioritize customer requirements.
• Own inventory accuracy for raw materials, finished goods, packaging, and obsolete or slow-moving stock.
• Lead cycle counts, physical inventories, reconciliations, and corrective actions.
• Lead month-end and year-end inventory activities with Operations, Accounting, and Supply Chain.
• Establish finished-goods inventory targets to support service levels while minimizing excess.
• Monitor schedule attainment, inventory turns, product availability, and customer-service performance; drive corrective actions.
• Maintain Bills of Material, routings, item-master data, and related records in JD Edwards.
• Support new-item creation, engineering changes, and product revisions.
• Lead, coach, train and develop planning and inventory-control staff.
• Improve planning and data processes through analysis and standardized work.
