Job summary

NSG Group in Kentucky seeks a Production Planner to develop the master production schedule and manufacturing plan aligned with demand, resources, and inventory targets. You will optimize materials flow, coordinate with Purchasing and Maintenance, and maintain clear communication with customers and suppliers to ensure schedules are understood and met.

Experience with SAP/ERP and strong Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business/Logistics or related field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on materials management or logistics experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong understanding of plant operations and production processes.
• Proven analytical abilities in forecasting and production needs.
• Experience with SAP or ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop production schedule and manufacturing plan aligned with demand, resource availability and inventory objectives.
• Optimize resource planning with reduced setups and family scheduling.
• Schedule production to meet customer requirements and inventory targets.
• Coordinate with Purchasing for material consumption and parts/glass schedules.
• Maintain open communication with customers, manufacturing, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate maintenance and engineering for downtime, PMs, and upgrades.
• Assist in new product development programs.
• Maintain records and documentation for history and audits.
• Provide backup support for other Materials positions as required.
• Conduct daily scheduling meetings.
