Job summary

Elmet Technologies, Inc. in Lewiston, Maine, is seeking a Production Planner to join the Logistics & Planning team.

You will develop and maintain production schedules aligned with customer demand, capacity, and material availability while coordinating with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Sales, and Finance. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in production planning within manufacturing, strong ERP/MRP and Excel skills, and excellent communication to drive on-time delivery and continuous

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or above in a relevant field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience with production planning, scheduling, or supply chain in manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain production schedules for make-to-stock and make-to-order products using ERP/MRP systems
• Evaluate demand, capacity, material availability, and labor requirements to set priorities
• Create, release, and manage production work orders while tracking progress
• Identify schedule risks, shortages, capacity constraints, and develop recovery plans
• Maintain ERP/MRP data including inventory balances, BOMs, routings, and product master information
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Commercial teams to resolve scheduling issues and support on-time delivery
• Analyze production and inventory data to find workflow improvements and reduce lead times
• Support continuous improvement of factory planning processes and reporting
