AVStar Fuel Systems Inc. in Auburn, NY is seeking a detail-oriented Production Planner to coordinate schedules, manage inventory, and ensure materials are available to meet customer delivery commitments.

The role requires manufacturing planning experience, ERP/MRP proficiency, and strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; on-site with a Monday–Friday schedule in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of production planning or scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling software; JobBOSS experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and lean manufacturing principles preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer requirements and delivery deadlines.
• Coordinate shop capacity, production priorities, labor, and material availability.
• Manage inventory levels, work-in-process (WIP), job kits, and material flow.
• Use ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling software to plan and monitor production.
• Work closely with Manufacturing and Purchasing to resolve scheduling and material issues.
• Monitor production performance and inventory accuracy.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with quality management system requirements and safety procedures.
