Job summary

BD in USA NC - Mebane seeks a Production Planner to convert rough-cut capacity into detailed production schedules based on material availability and capacity. You will coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Logistics to release orders and maintain accurate product status.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in supply chain, business, or related field. Degree may be negotiable with certification and experience.
• Demonstrated experience in ERP systems (SAP, JDE, etc.).
• 3–5 years manufacturing and/or planning/scheduling experience.
• Understanding of standard manufacturing rates, OEE, and capacity analysis.
• Proficient in MS Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical, planning, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a cross-functional team environment.

Responsibilities

• Create/release production orders and coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality, Master Data, Customer Service and Logistics to execute scheduled orders.
• Own product status reporting and ensure products are in stock from release to availability.
• Communicate significant supply performance issues to Supply Chain and operations.
• Balance work center capacity with material availability and expiry; minimize excess inventory and scrap.
• Provide data for KPIs such as order issues, inventory levels, schedule compliance.
• Perform supply chain tasks including production planning, buying, inventory control, outsourcing as needed.
• Maintain SAP data and ensure alignment with the supply plan.
• Support buyers, inventory, and shipping/receiving as needed.
• Engage in cross-functional activities with operations, procurement, customer service and regional supply chain.
• Create reports to support process improvement and performance analysis.
• Lead or participate in projects driving continuous improvements.
