Job summary

Beretta USA in Gallatin, TN is seeking a proactive Production & Materials Planner to support daily operations and New Product Introduction, ensuring material availability and timely sourcing across machining, heat treat, assembly, and finishing.

The role collaborates with Purchasing, Manufacturing Engineering, and production teams to optimize material flow, maintain ERP data integrity, and drive lean improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business management, logistics, or supply management preferred.
• Alternative: associate's degree with at least two years of experience.
• Five+ years of material planning experience in a mid-volume machining/assembly environment.
• CPIM certification is a plus.
• Experience in a machine shop environment and kanban implementation.
• ISO 9000 knowledge and strong cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes MRP to release work orders and manage the master production schedule.
• Oversees movement of material and completes ERP transactions.
• Maintains inventory accuracy and validates locations.
• Analyzes capacity, shortages, and drives corrective actions.
• Leads readiness activities and coordinates with material handlers.
• Generates work orders for outside processing and follows up with vendors.
• Updates MRP parameters to support lean objectives.
• Coordinates cost reduction projects with buyers/planners.
• Provides data-driven reports and supports Lean initiatives.
