Job summary

Plastpro 2000 Inc. is seeking a Procurement Specialist to supervise staff and oversee external procurement of raw materials, parts, and services. The role includes vendor selection, bid review, contract negotiation, and monitoring supplier performance.

You will analyze purchasing trends, forecast demand, and implement procedures to reduce costs while maintaining supply chain resilience. Strong MS Office skills and bilingual English/Mandarin are preferred, with 3–5 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree and 3–5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management/Supply Chain Management preferred.
• Bilingual English/Mandarin Chinese preferred but not required.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to read and interpret vendor contracts and policies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee external procurement of raw materials, parts, equipment, supplies, and services.
• Identify and notify vendors for bids; review bids for compliance.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate contracts for complex PO's.
• Review requisitions for accuracy, approve, and assign to staff.
• Communicate changes in specs, change orders, quantities, and adjustments.
• Monitor market trends to forecast demand and minimize costs.
• Develop and implement new procurement procedures.
• Supervise staff and evaluate performance; maintain PO/invoice/receiving records.
• Perform other duties and special projects as directed.
