Job summary

Talentify in Williamsport, PA is seeking a procurement specialist to partner with quality, engineering and operations to maintain parts flow while driving supply chain improvements in quality, delivery, and cost.

You will develop annual requirements, plan schedules, issue POs, expedite parts, resolve supplier issues, and coordinate with accounting on invoices. A Bachelor's degree with 2 years, or 3+ years in manufacturing is required, with strong leadership and Oracle experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field with two years experience or 3+ years related work experience in a related manufacturing/assembly environment.
• Solid background in Procurement and related supply chain disciplines.
• Good manufacturing business acumen, including 6 Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develops projected annual requirements for assigned part families.
• Assists in the development of annual purchase agreements with suppliers.
• Develops and communicates purchased parts schedules to Lycoming's suppliers.
• Responsible for planning and rescheduling of assigned parts in Oracle system.
• Places purchase orders with suppliers.
• Plans, schedules, and expedites assigned purchased parts to ensure timely availability of quality components.
• Negotiates pricing as required with oversight from the Procurement manager.
• Liaises with suppliers to resolve quality and delivery issues.
• Works with the Accounting department to resolve invoice/payment discrepancies.
• Responsible for inventory reduction planning.
