Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs in Portland, OR is seeking a procurement professional to join our supply chain team onsite. You will develop sourcing strategies, negotiate with suppliers, and drive key procurement activities to meet program milestones.

You’ll manage purchase orders, coordinate with engineering on specs, perform price analyses, and resolve shortages. We offer equity, a comprehensive benefits package, and relocation assistance for moving to Portland.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of procurement experience in high-complexity manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP systems to manage procurement workflows.
• Experience managing ECOs in fast-paced R&D or production environments.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma in supply chain context.
• Collaborating with Engineering to define specs for procurement and sourcing.
• Qualified candidates with some of these skills are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing strategies, lead negotiations, and manage supplier relationships.
• Prepare, issue, and lifecycle-manage purchase orders for timely delivery.
• Support sourcing and quoting of materials, coordinating with engineering on specs.
• Perform price and cost analyses to ensure competitive pricing.
• Identify/resolve material shortages and supply chain issues.
• Manage full supplier lifecycle from onboarding to performance monitoring.
