Job summary

MacAllister Machinery Co., Inc. is seeking a Procurement Specialist to own procurement for all non-OEM supplier commodities supporting our electric power strategic accounts business.

You will source, purchase, and deliver enclosures, CEMs, plenums, camboards, and other equipment, ensuring supply continuity and on-time delivery aligned to project schedules. This role interfaces with Engineering, SQE, Project Management, and Field Execution to ensure procurement decisions meet technical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or related field or equivalent years of experience.
• 5+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Experience purchasing industrial equipment, power systems, or mechanical/electrical components.
• Experience with ERP systems (purchase order creation, tracking, reporting).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned non-OEM commodity categories in MacAllister's power accounts.
• Lead supplier RFQ/RFP processes and evaluate proposals for best value.
• Manage purchase orders, expediting, and delivery scheduling to meet project timelines.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, warranties and SLAs with suppliers.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Project Management, SQE, and Field Execution to align procurement with specs and timelines.
• Identify cost savings and supplier optimization opportunities.
• Escalate supply disruptions with proposed mitigations.
