Job summary

General Dynamics Land Systems is seeking a General Procurement Buyer to analyze Oracle MRP material needs, issue RFQs/RFPs/RFIs, and conduct cost/price analysis to support sourcing decisions. The role includes negotiations, PO/subcontract administration, and ensuring on-time delivery for program requirements.

You will liaise with suppliers and GDLS departments to maintain cost control, quality, and compliance, while managing supplier issues and lead times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
• 3–5 years in procurement or supply chain role.
• Experience with Oracle MRP or similar MRP system.
• Demonstrated cost and price analysis experience.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Able to work in a team and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of General Procurement for buying activities.
• Analyze Oracle system material requirements and prepare RFQs/RFPs/RFIs.
• Perform cost and price analyses and support negotiations.
• Prepare and administer Purchase Orders and Subcontracts.
• Serve as liaison between suppliers and GDLS to ensure on-time delivery.
• Lead supplier discussions and ensure compliance with procurement laws.
