Tech Electronics is seeking a Procurement Specialist I to support its supply chain by sourcing materials and purchasing for fire, life safety, and security projects across the Midwest and Colorado. The role places purchase orders, negotiates pricing and terms, and coordinates stock to meet project timelines, ensuring field teams remain equipped and installations stay on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Two years of experience with computer systems, including Microsoft Office.
• Experience placing purchase orders, working with vendors, or procurement tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret purchase requisitions, material lists, and delivery requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling orders, records, and reports.

Responsibilities

• Procures materials, parts, and supplies for installations, service, and inventory replenishment.
• Prepares, places, and tracks purchase orders with approved vendors and confirms quantities and dates.
• Negotiate pricing, discounts, and terms with vendors per guidelines and budget.
• Allocates stock to due dates and projects for prompt delivery.
• Coordinates with project managers, technicians, and warehouse staff on availability and schedules.
• Monitors order status and expedites shipments to prevent delays.
• Maintains procurement records, PO details, and vendor information.
• Prepares inventory and cost-trend reports for analysis.
• Resolves discrepancies with vendors and stakeholders.
• Researches alternate sources to address shortages and lead-time issues.
