Job summary

Potter Global Technologies seeks a Procurement Specialist to optimize purchasing and inventory for our life safety solutions. You will drive supplier selection, negotiate terms, and support strategic sourcing to meet delivery and quality targets.

This on-site role at our Hazelwood, MO facility collaborates with production, engineering and quality teams to ensure accurate setup of parts and suppliers for new product introductions while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• Degree in Purchasing, Operations, Supply Chain or related field.
• 2–5 years of sourcing, purchasing or supplier management experience.
• CPM/CPSM or related certification is desirable but not required.
• Experience with Kanban, VMI and project management tools.
• Understanding of international and domestic purchasing practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all purchasing activities from intent to purchase through delivery.
• Analyze requirements, supplier options and delivery dates.
• Solicit and evaluate bid proposals from vendors.
• Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing to select suppliers meeting specs.
• Negotiate best price, quality and schedule; manage cost risk.
• Maintain accurate purchase orders, shipping notices and records.
• Serve as liaison with suppliers to build strong relationships.
• Support supply chain strategies to hit quality, cost, and delivery goals.
• Oversee trade and logistics to ensure timely fulfillment.
