Qualifications

• Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Procurement or Acquisition Experience
• Ability to conduct data analysis or research and/or understanding of negotiations
• Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentations)
• Creative problem solver who can apply critical thinking skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team structure
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (Power Point, Word, Excel)
• Experience managing simple to moderate subcontracts or purchase orders
• Familiar with FAR/DFARs
• Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment
• Strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services and supplies for operation
• Analyze data and supplier performance to determine price trends, feasibility and opportunities
• Negotiate prices, select or recommend suppliers, review proposals, and verify delivery
• Prepare and manage purchase records, and may prepare Requests for Proposals (RFP) and bid packages
