Lockheed Martin is seeking a Procurement Engineer Sr to join the Procurement Engineering Team in a role focused on strategic sourcing and supplier collaboration for aerospace and defense solutions. You will drive cross-functional coordination to ensure design, production, test, and qualification meet program objectives.

The ideal candidate excels at analyzing technical data, supplier capability assessments, and trade-off decisions to optimize cost, quality, and schedule while supporting design

Qualifications

• Background/degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical information.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Sourcing, Operations, Design Engineering, and external experts on design, production, test, and qualification of aerospace and defense products.
• Analyze technical data, specifications, and manufacturing constraints to assess supplier capabilities and part availability.
• Evaluate and recommend suppliers based on cost, technical compliance, facility inspections, and performance history.
• Lead cross-functional teams to resolve producibility, quality, cost, and reliability challenges through trade-offs and standardization.
• Recommend design changes and implement mistake-proofing measures to enhance affordability and reliability.
