Based in Cary, NC, the Procurement Specialist at UPL reports to the Procurement Lead and is responsible for identifying key suppliers of raw materials, negotiating purchasing agreements, and ensuring materials meet company specifications.

The role also handles indirect purchases and collaborates with Planning, Manufacturing, and the Kingstree, SC plant to drive cost savings through standardization and vendor bundling.

Formación

• Minimum 5 years of experience in production planning environments, purchasing raw materials, packaging materials, equipment, and supplies with demonstrated success in negotiating optimal pricing terms and working on teams.
• CPM or APICS certification is preferred.
• Working knowledge of SAP with a high proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.

Responsabilidades

• Identify key suppliers of raw materials and negotiate purchasing agreements and ensure materials meet company specifications.
• Execute purchase orders to meet all delivery and specification requirements and maintain/update purchase orders.
• Attend meetings and update planning and production teams on issues or concerns to meet internal and external customer demands.
• Communicate clearly to planning and production teams regarding delivery requirements to meet production schedules.
• Prepare and present monthly dashboards and recommendation reports for supply chain.
• Manage vendors for quality, service, price, and on-time delivery.
