Job summary

Pennsylvania Food Corporation is seeking a Procurement & Planning Manager in Portage, Wisconsin, to lead purchasing, production planning, material requirements, and supplier coordination within a fast‑paced food manufacturing environment.

You will ensure the right ingredients, packaging, and production plans meet customer demand while maintaining quality, food safety, and cost control. Collaboration across QA, Regulatory, R&D, and Operations is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Five+ years of progressive procurement, planning, or inventory control experience in manufacturing.
• Food manufacturing in FDA/USDA environments is a plus.
• Solid understanding of material planning, scheduling, supplier management, and inventory control.
• Experience with ERP, MRP, WMS, demand planning and production scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead purchasing for raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and services.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure quality, service, cost, and continuity.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and supplier agreements in line with business needs.
• Coordinate with QA, Regulatory, R&D, and Operations to meet safety and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective actions when needed.
• Develop production plans and schedules aligned with orders, forecasts, and capacity.
• Use ERP/MRP data to determine material requirements and feasibility.
• Support new product launches, packaging changes, and commercialization activities.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives in cost savings and efficiency.
