Job summary

Symons Fire Protection, Inc. seeks a highly organized Procurement Manager to oversee Purchasing, Warehouse, Fabrication/Pre-fab Shop, and Delivery from our San Diego headquarters.

You will lead material planning, vendor negotiations, and shop throughput to ensure on-time, on-budget project materials. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least five years in supply chain, logistics, or industrial distribution, preferably in construction or fire protection.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field.
• Experience: at least 5 years in supply chain, logistics, or warehouse management.
• Operational Hand-Off: proficiency in end-to-end material handling & kitting.
• Certifications: CPIM or CSCP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Purchasing: negotiate with vendors to secure competitive pricing.
• Warehouse: manage inventory, 5S, and safety compliance.
• Shop: schedule fabrication, pre-assembly, and QA against blueprints.
• Delivery: coordinate routes, loads, and field communications.
