Job summary

Parker Aerospace in Danville, KY is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead daily procurement of raw materials and components for production, and to drive lean practices across sourcing and procurement.

You will partner with suppliers, operations, and IT to plan material flow, optimize lead times, and deliver cost improvements while managing a small team reporting to the Division Sourcing & Procurement Manager.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of supply chain managerial experience.
• Bachelor degree in business, engineering, or materials management; certification preferred.
• Analytical and technical skills to automate processes.
• Advanced computer skills and understanding of MRP/ERP systems.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Drive improvements across SLISC, PCI, OTP, OTR and Lead Time.
• Support sourcing of new products and new product introduction activities.
• Lead and manage procurement and materials management activities including orders and supplier follow-up.
• Organize and implement cost-reduction activities to maximize division return.
• Maintain supplier relationships and robust communication.
• Define and implement automated systems to plan material flow from customers through procurement to delivery.
• Work with suppliers to develop continuous improvement programs addressing quality, delivery, service and price.
• Lead cross functional and independent projects to develop team collaboration.
• Daily cross functional collaboration to meet division goals.
• Lead, direct work and provide professional development for all team members.
