Job summary

Metglas, Inc. in Conway, SC, seeks a dynamic Procurement Manager to lead sourcing, supplier relationships, and end-to-end purchasing for our amorphous metal production.

You will manage contracts, negotiate favorable terms, and drive cost savings while ensuring compliance with FAR and related regulations. ERP experience with SAP and Oracle EBS is essential, as is leading a 2–4 person team.

Qualifications

• Procurement management experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with SAP and Oracle EBS.
• Contract negotiation and supplier relationship management expertise.
• Familiar with sourcing strategies, category management, and materials management.
• Understanding of logistics, production planning and inventory control via MRP.
• Knowledge of FAR is a plus for government contracts.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals, focusing on sourcing, supplier management, and category management.
• Lead contract negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service levels while ensuring FAR compliance.
• Manage procurement activities using ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS to streamline purchasing, materials management, and production planning.
• Conduct root cause analysis to resolve supply chain disruptions and improve procurement processes.
• Oversee supplier performance evaluations and adherence to quality, delivery, and contractual obligations.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and logistics to optimize inventory levels through procurement planning and MRP.
• Monitor market trends and source new suppliers for cost savings and innovation.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies including logistics and pricing strategies.
