Job summary

Werfen is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead tactical and strategic sourcing at the site level. This role oversees a team of buyers and expediters, ensuring timely sourcing of materials to support production and business continuity while aligning with suppliers on quality, delivery, and cost.

The ideal candidate has a BS or MBA with 5–7 years in materials management (APICS a plus) and a track record of supplier performance improvement, policy development, and cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications

• BS degree or MBA with experience in materials management.
• APICS certification preferred.
• Experience in procurement and supplier management.

Responsibilities

• Plans and executes procurement of materials, parts, components, and equipment.
• Directs buyers and expediters to meet objectives.
• Ensures material availability and maintains desired inventory levels.
• Monitors supplier performance.
• Participates in major contract negotiations.
• Develops procurement policies and controls costs and schedules.
