Job summary

Roskam Baking Company, LLC seeks an Executive Procurement Leader to design and drive strategic sourcing across key categories, including raw materials, packaging, and indirect spend. You will partner with senior leadership to optimize value, quality and continuity.

With 7–10+ years in procurement and at least 2 years in a leadership role, you will mentor teams, manage supplier performance, and lead cross-functional initiatives in food manufacturing, sustainability, and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
• 7-10+ years of procurement experience.
• 2+ years of leadership experience.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft AX, SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of sourcing strategies, contract management, and supplier performance evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leadership to design and execute strategic sourcing for raw materials, packaging, and indirect goods.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Analyze market trends, commodity pricing, and supply risks for procurement leadership.
• Support product innovation and operational efficiency with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality, Ops, Finance).
• Manage supplier performance via KPIs, scorecards, and business reviews.
• Identify and execute cost reduction and value-improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with food-safety regulations and ethical sourcing standards.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for procurement categories.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional projects on sustainability, risk, and supply continuity.
• Mentor and guide junior procurement staff.
