Job summary

Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure (H2C) seeks a Procurement Operations Liaison to coordinate between field organizations and Acquisition Management, ensuring effective procurement cycles that support Tank Farms priorities. The role emphasizes internal collaboration, forecasting, and meeting project timelines.

The position emphasizes strong relationships with stakeholders, understanding schedules, and leading procurement activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline.
• 4–7 years of relevant experience depending on grade.
• Experience in procurement cycles and stakeholder coordination.
• Knowledge of FAR and procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Buyer Technical Representative, Subcontractor Technical Representative, or Procurement Specialist at least 50% of the time, while performing the remaining duties.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal organizations to ensure satisfaction and collaboration.
• Act as internal liaison for procurements, understanding timelines and objectives, providing dedicated support.
• Bridge between Procurement team and technical field teams.
• Communicate organizational priorities to AM leadership and stakeholders.
• Own forecasting for the assigned matrixed organization and reconcile project control data with requisitions.
• Lead regular AM team meetings and coordinate procurement status reporting.
• Coordinate procurement strategies to support Small Business Program goals.
• Collaborate with project control engineers to align procurement with schedules and budgets.
• Develop and update acquisition schedules to meet contractual requirements.
• Attend schedule meetings and business reviews to report procurement status.
• Identify urgent needs, escalate issues, and answer procurement inquiries.
• Recommend process improvements to drive efficiency and reduce costs.
• Other duties as assigned
