Job summary

Amsted Industries in the United States seeks a Senior Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization across graphite feedstocks, metals, and related materials. The role drives continuous improvement and risk mitigation within a manufacturing environment.

You will manage supplier performance, collaborate with Production Planning, and coach procurement teams to align with budgets and KPIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 5–8 years of progressive procurement experience in manufacturing.
• 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience negotiating contracts and managing strategic supplier relationships.
• Strong understanding of inventory control, MRP/ERP systems, and manufacturing operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and office productivity tools.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing & Procurement: develop and implement material procurement strategies and manage supplier relationships.
• Supplier Management: lead KPI-driven supplier reviews, audits, and risk mitigation.
• Inventory & Production Support: ensure uninterrupted material availability and optimize stock levels.
• Cost Management: pursue cost-reduction initiatives and favorable pricing/terms.
• Compliance & Systems Management: ensure policy compliance and leverage ERP/MRP systems.
• Leadership: develop purchasing staff and drive continuous improvement.
