Job summary

Associated Materials is seeking a Commodity Manager to drive strategic sourcing across multiple product lines. You will lead supplier selection, negotiate contracts, and develop cost-reduction programs while coordinating with Product Management and Engineering teams.

Reporting to the VP of Procurement, you will build should-cost models, leverage P2P tools, and manage supplier performance to meet AMI's objectives. Ohio-based manufacturing footprint and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Experience in strategic commodity management in manufacturing.
• Strong negotiation and contract-building skills.
• Cross-functional teamwork across plant and corporate environments.
• Intermediate MS Excel and ERP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Select and maintain suppliers to support manufacturing and procurement requirements.
• Develop formal Commodity Strategies aligning with short-, mid-, and long-term business goals.
• Build Should-Cost models to identify cost-out opportunities.
• Utilize P2P platform for vendor management and bids.
• Run Make vs. Buy analyses considering AMI's vertical integration.
• Collaborate with Product Management on new product launches and supplier qualifications.
• Support Engineering Change Notifications and supplier quality assessments.
