Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a Procurement Lead and Commodity Manager for Semiconductors and Mechatronics in Portland, OR. You will drive strategic supplier selections, negotiate terms, and develop commodity strategies to improve margins and supply security.

The role requires experience in tech commodities, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in contract negotiations and supplier selection/management.
• Experience in purchase of technical commodities and implementation of best practices.
• Direct experience in Purchasing and Supply and commodity management for build to print (BTP) and OEM commodities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the component and supplier selection process for new products.
• Develop and update the commodity strategy and negotiation plans.
• Foster relationships with critical suppliers and drive cost reductions.
• Provide strategic leadership on supplier performance, risk, and market conditions.
