Job summary

You will coordinate acquisitions with OMES Central Purchasing, prepare requisitions and purchase orders in PeopleSoft, and oversee competitive bidding, evaluations, and contract actions. Maintain complete procurement files and supplier records.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of technical clerical work plus two (2) years of procurement, purchasing, contracting, or acquisition experience.
• Ability to coordinate acquisitions from planning through closeout with proper documentation.
• Knowledge of state purchasing rules and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review requests, scopes, specs, funding, and supporting documents to determine acquisition method.
• Prepare and route requisitions and purchase orders in PeopleSoft with required comments and approvals.
• Coordinate competitive acquisitions, bids, evaluations, and award recommendations.
• Maintain procurement files, tracking records, and supplier performance information.
• Provide procurement guidance and training to staff and respond to inquiries.
