Job summary

General Dynamics Land Systems is seeking a Procurement Buyer to manage purchasing and subcontracting end-to-end. You will analyze material needs in Oracle/MRP, solicit supplier RFQs/RFPs/RFIs, and lead cost analyses to support sourcing decisions.

You will negotiate with suppliers to meet program cost and schedule targets, administer POs and subcontracts, and ensure on-time delivery while controlling costs. Travel domestically and internationally is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related business discipline.
• 7-10 years of experience in procurement or buying roles.
• Proficiency with Oracle MRP or other purchasing systems.
• Strong negotiation, cost and price analysis skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end management of purchasing and subcontracting activities.
• Analyze material needs in Oracle/MRP systems and evaluate supplier RFQs/RFPs/RFIs.
• Negotiate with suppliers to meet program cost and schedule targets.
• Prepare and administer purchase orders and subcontracts; ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate source selection, manage quality, design and payment issues.
• Ensure compliance with procurement laws and regulations.
