Job summary

Barnes Aerospace is seeking a Procurement Manager to oversee its Michigan Operations divisions and the West Chester site. You will partner with division leaders to develop and manage the procurement function, drive cost reductions, and negotiate contracts ensuring on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in supply chain within aerospace/defense, strong leadership, and proven ability to improve supplier performance. This role requires a strategic sourcing mindset.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of related supply chain management experience in aerospace/defense.
• Experience in engineering-to-order environments and OEM manufacturing.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Ability to lead teams and drive change.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement for MI Operations and West Chester site with coaching and escalation.
• Drive KPI performance: late release, push/pull/cancel, delinquency/OTD and costs/PPV.
• Build supplier relationships and ensure OTD and cost targets.
• Develop sourcing strategy for competitive advantage including supplier consolidation.
• Negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance.
