Qualifications

• Must understand purchasing principles and inventory control.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Able to analyze data to support purchasing decisions.
• Proficient with MS Office; experience with MRP systems; AS400 a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage outside vendors, and ensure that approved vendors are used.
• Monitor purchase orders and outside processors to ensure materials arrive on time.
• Interface with suppliers when variations arise in delivery, quality, price, or conditions of sale.
• Work with outside vendors to ensure best pricing and seek ways to reduce cost.
• Generate, issue, and enter cycle counts.
